June 5, 2013
Dear Parent/Guardian,
This letter is to serve as a reminder that the Grade 6 Trip to Base de
Plein Air, Mont Tremblant, Quebec begins on Monday, June 10, 2013. The bus will depart the KPS Annex at 8:00 a.m. Students should arrive no later than 7:45 a.m.... in order to have their attendance taken and to load their belongings on the bus.
Students will return to the KPS Annex on June 12, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. Please make arrangements to pick up your child. We will not release any student to anyone other than the custodial parent, unless prior written notification has been provided to the school before departure on Monday. Check in with the KPS Facebook Page for updates and/or changes to arrival times.
Any student bringing medication on the trip will have previously submitted
an ‘Authorization for Administration of Medication’ form with their permission form package. These students should bring their medication in a clear Ziploc bag, clearly marked with their name. The medication should be given to Mrs. Bruley prior to loading the bus. Students MAY NOT keep medications (over the counter or prescribed) on their person during this trip (with exception of asthma puffers and Epipens, which must be carried with the student at all times).
For ease of attendance, students will travel on a bus with their homeroom class. Everyone should ensure that they have a proper breakfast and visit the facilities prior to departure. We do not have any scheduled stops on this route. The estimated travel time is 3 hours.
Students are reminded that outdoor activities will continue rain or shine. They should also remember to bring the following essential items with them on the trip: running shoes, sunscreen, sunhats, water bottle, sleeping bag and pillow case.
